Top 5 Reasons Your Doctor Wants You in OUR Clinic

Hey Team,

Over my fifteen-year career, I had the pleasure to work closely with many exemplary physicians. I started as a physical therapist in Spokane, WA, and worked for private practice. However, I did not like my first job because it was all about volume…not the patient. How many people could we slam into one day was the standard. I did enjoy the relationships I built, though. For example, our office was two floors below the Northwest Orthopedic Specialists Clinic, which allowed me to meet many of these fine surgeons. For example, people like Dr. Kody, Dr. Kersten, Dr. Vanderwilde were just a few who graciously answered many of my questions regarding patient care. I am thankful.

After a year in Spokane, we moved to Colville because we never really liked the big city. My wife was from Colville, and we would come to visit often anyway… it was a natural fit. I worked for a private practice in Colville stationed in the basement of the Providence Garden Homes Clinic. The best part of this experience… working with excellent medical personnel and developing lifelong relationships. Dr. Canto, Dr. Mendez-vigo, and Dr. Lind were just a few who gave me the time of day. The late Dr. Brad Lind was exceptionally kind to me, and I still miss him today.

Over the years, I have coordinated many efforts with area physicians to assist with our community's care or prevention of injuries. Dr. Ed Johnson, Dr. Qwik, Steven Tingey PA-C, Kerry Michaelis, PA-C, Marty Malone PA-C, or Dr. Kal Kelley are a few who have assisted in generating a standard for concussion protocols.

Other physicians, I have been able to develop a more personal relationship through different interactions over the years. Dr. Magee, Dr. Bacon, Dr. Artzis, or Joe Cardenas are all people I have developed a friendship with and appreciate their knowledge in the medical field and their kind hearts.

Overall, I could go on and on… Dr. April Mckenna, Dr. Currigan, Kelly Glidewell, Dr. Barker, Dr. Beardslee, Dr. Hume, Dr. Montowski, or Dr. Shannon are all individuals I would mention. But the fact of the matter is… when you spend 15 years in a great town like Colville, and you consistently give excellent care, you will develop these relationships. So let me dive into the top 5 reasons your doctor wants you to see us.

TOP 5 REASONS YOUR DOCTOR WANTS US TO TREAT YOU

  1. They send their family to us: When push comes to shove… we see either the doctor themselves or their family. Our staff has worked with many doctors or family members over the years in our office to our pleasure. It has been great to develop a deeper relationship with our community physicians and see the way we help people firsthand.

  2. They already refer to us: If you are thinking about if we can help you… but not sure if your primary physician wants you to come to us; well, they do! All the area physicians are currently referring to our clinic. Also, most insurance companies do not require a physician referral any longer, and if they do… your get to choose! Yep, it is genuinely your choice on where to go for care, and any referral given is only a suggestion.

  3. Complete satisfaction: Physicians tell me our patients love coming to us and get upset when suggested anywhere else. Over the years, it has been fun to talk to physicians who say our patients are almost "cult-like" because of their dedication to only wanting to come to our office. It is so humbling to hear these words.

  4. Complete care from injury to recovery: Physicians overall love the fact we have a complete facility. We are the only clinic in the region that can tackle a diverse number of patients and help the patient from physical therapy to the lifestyle changes needed for ultimate recovery. What does this mean? No relapse in injuries… Yep, Doctors love that.

  5. No red tape: We are a private company. When you call or message us… you get US solving problems right away. No big clunky company getting in the way and ignoring you. Heck… tell the front office you want to speak directly to me, and it will happen, or they will give you my cellphone. We are different, and that is what our patients love about us.

Overall, we are blessed to live in an area where we get to know so many great people, but we also get to see how our facility has impacted other people's lives. Thank you to our patients, who love the fact we are "different." What this all comes down to is trust. So, a big thank you to our community for trusting us in providing care to "help you get the most out of each day!"
